Volunteer dog walking service provided by Balwyn Evergreen Centre

Dog Walking

SOCIAL SUPPORT FOR 55 & OVER

Balwyn Evergreen Centre offers a dog-walking service for people aged 55 or over as part of the State Government Home and Community Care Program (HACC).

If you live in Boroondara, are aged 55 or over and are struggling to walk your dog due to physical or cognitive decline, Balwyn Evergreen Centre is here to assist you with walking your dog.

We offer a dog-walking service, which is part of our volunteer program, to ensure Boroondara's K9 companions continue to be exercised and socialised. Our volunteers can also help with basic grooming –
brushing and washing – if needed.

Both our clients and volunteers benefit from making important new connections and often forge lasting friendships.

This service is part of the State Government Home and Community Care Program (HACC).

All our volunteers undergo a screening and induction process.
For more information on what this service involves and how to access it, please contact us today on 03 9836 9681 or
