Our Supported Lifestyle Program offers a warm, community-based day program filled with laughter, movement and connection.
It is designed for people living at home with some cognitive decline or mild dementia who still want to get out, socialise and enjoy their day.
Led by experienced staff and volunteers, this social support group program draws on strengths and interests of clients to build capacity and encourage independence.
Clients look forward to coming each week, enjoying time spent with friends and a variety of activities and entertainment.
What does a typical day in the Supported Lifestyle Program look like?
Finding the right support should feel reassuring, not clinical. Our person-centred program offers a safe place for participants to engage in a welcoming, community setting.
What's included:

Morning tea including home-baked treats from our baking volunteers

Seated Strength Exercise class or a Seated Tai Chi class

A nutritious lunch prepared in our kitchen by our own volunteer cooks

Afternoon activities and entertainment including brain games, music, Bingo, board games or whiteboard games.

Afternoon tea - more of our delicious baked goods
Please note, transport to pick up and drop off from your home is free for any Supported Lifestyle Program clients who require it.

Please note, we're a community day centre, not a locked facility. Our program coordinator will first do an assessment to see if the client is eligible for the program and that it meets their needs. If the client's needs are greater than what our staff ratios allow for, they will be required to provide a carer. This ensures the safety and enjoyment of the group. Please note the cost of this program is a flat rate that's charged whether the client stays for the full day or not.
